A pop up gazebo is used to protect you from the rain, sun and insects, or just when enjoying the great outdoors with loved ones. A couple of things you should look for when shopping is to make sure the frame is made with sturdy reinforced metal, clamps that lock and a durable weatherproof tarp. The joints of the frame should all connect with the top joints. The tarp should be made of a sturdy waterproof material. It should also be pitched correctly so that water will roll off the roof instead of collection on top, which can weight it down and eventually lead to a collapse. Look for removable netting to protect against flying or crawling insects ruining the fun. Another good accessory to check for is a carrying case or other storage bag. There should also be a crank or snap locks to pop it up into place. As you secure and lock into place the tarp should placed on top and held in place until locked in place. Once locked in place, tie the roof down to reinforce the frame and locking joints of the gazebo in place. The leg posts should come with holes at the bottom so that the gazebo can be easily anchored to the ground, which will be a must on windy days.
The price of a pop up gazebo depends on the quality of the product, overall size, where you purchase it from and the season purchased. A standard sized gazebo is approximately 12 feet by 12 feet, giving you about 144 square feet of overhead coverage. They usually come with a storage included, but sometimes they are also sold separately. Lesser price does not mean lesser quality, but some of the less expensive ones will be of lesser quality, harder to assemble, having pitch problems, and on a windy day your gazebo can easily sail away in the breeze.

Some of the most common places to find a quality pop up gazebo include local discount stores, large chain stores and department stores. Sporting good stores and camping stores are also great places to find gazebos. If you are looking for really unique or hard to find extra large versions, try looking in specialty catalogs. Once you have installed your gazebo make sure that you anchor it with rope and a large spike at least a foot deep into the ground. Even the sturdiest ones can be ripped from the ground if weather conditions are severe. If possible, disassemble and store your gazebo safely if you become aware of severe weather approaching.
A good quality one will protect you from harmful sunlight as the fabric usually contains UV repellent. Your gazebo can be taken to the park, beaches and practically any other place you can think of when protection from the elements is needed.
