In the past when dogs or pets had injuries or diseases that affected either the front or hind part of their body they had to suffer for long or they never recovered from their injury or disease since they could never get active again. A pad for the shoulder of the dog gives comfort from buckles and straps. Another strap that runs under the chest of the dog and back of the front legs helps holds the harness safely in its place.
The frame of the dog wheelchair is made of aluminum which is powder-coated reducing chances of rusting, breaking or bending; plastic rings that are molded attach the legs of the dog to the frame preventing it from slipping. There are also spring enabled caps that can be turned to loosen the rings or rotate the legs so the cart can fold flat for easy transport in the trunk of a car or in the included tote bag.
The harnesses and clips on the dog wheelchairs which connect the harnesses to the cart can be adjusted to the size of the dog. The wheels are attached to struts which are snapped into the cart. There are foam wheels and air filled tires available with bearings fitted. The air tires are great for heavy and off-road use.
Stirrups on the back of the dog wheelchair allow the dog's legs to be strapped and held up to prevent your dog from dragging his legs on the ground. Convenient straps help lift and guide the dog's wheelchair. These are ideal for pets weak in their legs or paralyzed. The wheelchairs come with manuals to help you adjust and use it correctly and give your dog all the comfort.
